Elliot Richardson (guitar)
It wasn’t until the day Elliot picked up his dad’s guitar that he knew what he wanted to do with his life. He soon began to teach himself how to play, and growing up in Southern California there was no shortage of cool young bands to be a part of. After graduating high school he continued on with his calling by first enrolling at Cal State University Fullerton to study music, and the second thing he did was bought some recording equipment and began to experiment recording his own songs and also the music of other artists and local bands.
After graduating Cal State with a bachelors degree in music he began mixing live sound for a living, while at the same time working on the side producing projects for some of So Cal’s coolest bands. Before long the demand for his services grew to the point in which he gave up working with live sound, and he and a business partner began their own recording studio in the heart of Orange County in the city of Orange. Two years later he moved his studio to Huntington beach
In midst of the musical madness Elliot met Marcie and they were married in Sept 2001.
After five years producing bands in California the couple decided to change the pace a little and move to Nashville. They were barely settled into life in Tennessee when they met Phil and Heather Joel who gravitated toward them immediately.
“It was weird, we felt like we had known them all our lives and yet we had only just met. All our friends felt the same, it was like they’d been on a trip and had finally come home!” –Heather Joel
It wasn’t long before Phil began to see what an incredibly talented guy Elliot was and asked him to join the band. What was equally as obvious to everyone was his huge heart for the Lord.
When Elliot is not on the road with the team, he can be found in his studio in Franklin, TN busy producing projects for various bands and artists, or at home on the couch watching movies with Marcie and Bogie their enormous cat.
