Anthony Porcheddu (drums)

After growing up in Dallas TX and learning to play piano, drums, trumpet and virtually any other instrument he could get his hands on, Anthony knew that playing music for a living was what he wanted to do. He began studying music production, engineering, and performance at Berklee College Of Music in Boston. After three years of intense performing, touring and recording, Anthony felt the call of God on his life to return home to Texas. Two years later he transferred to Belmont University where he graduated with a degree in Commercial Music.

After graduating, Anthony remained in Nashville and began composing and producing music for different publishing companies who landed his tracks in everything from daytime and prime time t.v. shows to children's books. At the same time Anthony was continuing to perform and tour with different Christian and Country acts, and play on many studio recordings. It wasn't long before he began doing more and more session work and it was in the studio that he felt most at home and began to hone his craft as a music producer.

He has since produced music for a host of different genres including Rock, Americana, Folk, Christian, Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz, Instrumental, Trance and Techno.

In 2007 Anthony and Phil were introduced by a mutual friend and became instant pals. Anthony, who lived nearby would walk over to Phil’s backyard studio to hang out while Phil and John began recording the deliberatKids cd.

“It wasn’t long before we realized how talented he was and began to utilize his skills, first with drums, then piano, and then with harmony and background vocals! He’s like a studio utility tool!” says John Boyd

In March of 07’ he began touring with Phil and has become a huge asset in furthering what the Lord is doing through the team both onstage and off. In 2008 he co-produced Phil’s latest cd ‘The New Normal’, and although Anthony’s ability and love for music is immense, it most definitely takes a back seat to his love for Jesus and being a part of making and performing music that will draw people closer to God’s heart.
